At this step we continue to form and develop the basis that will move your company forward toward continuous bottom line increases. The company’s Lean Champion works with management and the LEAP experts to develop a list of potential projects.  ROIs are calculated and projects chosen.  This lead to the second kaizen event and a one year Lean Implementation Plan .  FIVEby2 equips an additional core team with the knowledge and tools to achieve the second tangible Lean successes.

Participants.

As for the first kaizen event, we carefully select a mix of team members with basic value stream knowledge, customers and suppliers to the value stream and potential values stream champions.

Actions Taken:

• List of Kaizen projects developed, ROI’s calculated
• Select a team in the next targeted function in your organization
• Take team Kaizen event, from inception to implementation to completion and measurement
•  Introduce Lean tools
• Inspire each participant to achieve the benefits of Lean to their work and to company results
• Coach each person on using Lean techniques themselves, and on spreading passion for Lean with co-workers.

Process.
LEAP meets for two days with Management and the designated Lean Champion.  A list of potential projects, with estimated ROI, is developed.  The conversion to Lean Accounting/Lean Performance measures are explored.  Priorities established, an implementation plan is developed.  The Lean Champion collects data for this next Kaizen.   This requires a five day commitment of the Lean Champion and two days of Management. LEAP meets five days with the team. Provides presentation materials, hands-on training, coaching and the appropriate tools needed for a successful outcome.
